What Instrument Is That?

I'm happy to announce the launch of a new kind of music blog today... one devoted to something I'm deeply interested in sharing with music lovers worldwide.

How many times do you listen to your favorite songs and wonder what instruments were used to produce the sounds that are so familiar to you? Sometimes the answer is what you least expect it to be. To answer these musings, and create a discussion around them, I've started a new website: www.whatinstrumentisthat.com.

What Instrument Is That? will be a place for you to ask questions about your favorite tunes and learn about music appreciation. With it, I hope to expose you to musical instruments you may not even know existed. Just click on the "ask" button to send me a question about a song you've always wondered about! I've got to put that organology degree to good use, right? ;-)
